The Vikings were one of the NFL's most pleasant surprises after starting the season 5-0 behind the emergence of veteran quarterback Sam Darnold into a steady performer and winner. Minnesota lost for the first time last weekend against the Detroit Lions (31-29) on a game-winning 44-yard field goal by Jake Bates with 15 seconds left in the game. Darnold has 12 touchdown passes in six games, along with big jumps in completions (66.5%) and passer rating (104.0).

The Rams are 3-point underdogs on their home field as they look for more momentum after defeating the Las Vegas Raiders (20-15). The Rams are 2-2 in their last four games since getting off to an 0-2 start, including a season No. 1 win over the San Francisco 49ers (27-24) in Week 3.
