Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors game preview: start time, injuries, how to watch, TV, online, betting options

Are the Golden State Warriors still “light years ahead”? Can they be successful if their stars move to other teams or in free agency? Well, we'll take a look at it tonight.

Already gone is Klay Thompson, who “never missed against the Houston Rockets in his entire career.” Steph Curry is out tonight with an ankle injury, although the Warriors are 2-0 without him. Draymond Green has been the real difference between these teams in the past and he is playing.

With some teams, you know they will only be irrelevant for so long. The Lakers had a few lulls, but at some point a superstar wants to go there because of the prestige and the team suddenly becomes a competitor. New York has a similar atmosphere, although with less success, as has Miami in recent decades.

Can the Warriors stay relevant if Curry retires? Or is he such a supernova that it's impossible to keep a team good if he leaves? Is the Bay Area a sufficient magnet for superstars like its Southern California counterpart? We're just a few years away from finding out.

Xiane will be in the playback room tonight, so you should stop by to watch the Rockets and talk about the game. Remember, we're getting a handful of VIP passes that we're giving out to anyone who wants to watch the game. No League Pass necessary!
