Houston shootings: 4 shot and 3 dead at various locations in a series of deadly shootings Saturday night

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — At least four people were shot and three killed, including a young adult, following a series of deadly shootings in Houston and Harris County throughout the evening, according to the Houston Police Department.

North Houston

HPD officers responded to a large scene on the North Freeway at the Tequila B bar near Calvacade around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

Officials said it was believed several suspects opened fire on a crowd of at least 25 to 35 people who were filing out just as the bar was closing for the evening.

HPD officials said the suspects may have been involved in an altercation in the bar's parking lot before driving away and opening fire, striking two people who police confirmed were employees of the establishment. One was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim was taken to the hospital after being hit several times. At last check, HPD said the victim was in a life-threatening condition.

Witnesses were interviewed, but officials said no suspect was in custody.

HPD said it was looking for a dark sedan and there may have been at least two to three shooters. There are currently no descriptions of the suspects.

Southwest Houston

Just an hour before the bar shooting, HPD officers responded just after 1 a.m. to a Halloween party at a party hall in the 11900 block of Bissonnet, near Kirkwood Road.

Lt. Riley of the HPD said a man was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot when there was unrest at the party. However, officials did not provide any information about who was involved.

North Harris County

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting after a young person was fatally shot outside a party late Saturday evening.

Sergeant. Michael Ritchie with HCSO said deputies received a call about a large party with several people of varying ages. There were reportedly riots at the party before gunfire broke out.

One victim, who was only a man, was hit. HCSO said he was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries. Officials want to confirm the identity and age of the victim.

HPD said no weapon was recovered and no suspects are in custody.
