For the first time since 2009, the New York Yankees are returning to the World Series.

The Yankees defeated the Cleveland Guardians 5-2 thanks to a three-run home run in the 10th inning by Juan Soto on Saturday night to win the American League Championship Series.

While the Yankees don't yet know their World Series opponent, the Dodgers currently lead the Mets 3-2 and Game 6 is scheduled for Sunday night. Tickets for the Yankees World Series are already available.

If the Dodgers win the NLCS, the Yankees will host the third, fourth and hypothetical fifth games of the World Series.

If the Mets win the NLCS, the Yankees will host the first, second and hypothetical sixth and seventh World Series games.
