How to watch Cooper Flagg, Duke vs. Maine: streaming, TV, game time

It's only fitting that the best basketball player the state of Maine has ever produced will make his collegiate debut against the University of Maine.

Cooper Flagg will play his first competitive game for Duke on Monday against a familiar opponent as Maine travels to Durham, N.C., for the opening game of the season.

There's plenty of hype surrounding Flagg, the consensus top recruit in the class of 2024 and the projected No. 1 pick in next year's NBA draft. The Newport, Maine native is just 17 years old and has already signed NIL contracts with New Balance and Gatorade before even playing a college game.

Flagg scored a team-high 22 points in Duke's exhibition win over Division 2 Lincoln University, but remained fairly quiet in a dominant preseason win over Arizona State.

However, Flagg Monday will receive far more attention in Duke's first game of the season. Flagg has long been one of the most hyped basketball recruits in the country, but his fame reached new heights over the summer when he became the only college player named to the USA Select Team to help Team USA prepare for the Olympics to help. There, Flagg went head-to-head with some of the NBA's biggest stars and earned plenty of praise along the way.

Flagg won't face LeBron James and Steph Curry on Monday, but he will face a lot of expectations as the only freshman named to the AP preseason All-American team.

Flagg's debut kicks off at 7 p.m. Here's how to watch.
