How UW-Madison “Bachelorette” Jenn Tran fared

Tuesday was “Hair Metal Night” on “Dancing with the Stars.” But “The Bachelorette” Jenn Tran said that every night was like a hair metal night when she studied abroad while in college in Europe.

Tran transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Madison midway through her sophomore year.

While abroad, she said on “DWTS,” she studied food, art and Italian men.

“I like to keep that wild side in a little box because once it’s out, it’s crazy,” she told her professional dance partner Sasha Farber.

“I’m scared,” he replied.

Tran channeled “wild Jenn” for her paso doble with Farber to “The Final Countdown” by Europe.

But would she make it to next week? After the “Soul Train Night” dances on Monday and the “Hair Metal” dances on Tuesday, there was a double elimination.

What the judges had to say about Jenn Trans and Sasha Farber's dance performance on Tuesday

“Let’s talk about electrification,” said judge Bruno Tonioli. “I think you blew my fuses with the Paso Doble…You put everything a Paso Doble needs in it, Sasha. EVERYTHING. Thank you.”

Because Tran is “really unpredictable,” it's always exciting when she performs, said judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

“You're really dancing on the edge and I'm never quite sure if you can do it, but you can do it!” said Inaba.

Judge Derek Hough said Tran had a “beautiful, strong calm” during her performance on Tuesday that projected strength onto the dance floor. And he praised the impressive knee walks she did across the floor.

“There’s no question you two are a hot couple,” said guest judge Gene Simmons of KISS. “Sasha is great as a professional, she does it every day. But all the pressure is on you. And I have to say, not only are you beautiful, but you also delivered.”

According to multiple reports, Simmons is facing backlash over comments he made during his “DWTS” appearance toward contestants, particularly female celebrities and dancers.

For their Paso Doble, Tran and Farber received a score of 31 out of 40, with an eight from Inaba, an eight from Derek, an eight from Tonioli and a seven from Simmons.

That's the same total they received on Monday night, giving them an overall score of 62/80. This placed them third on the leaderboard alongside Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik and his professional partner Rylee Arnold.
