Indi Hartwell released by WWE

According to a new report, Indi Hartwell is leaving the WWE.

Sean Ross Sapp from Combative (above Combative selection) reports that Indi Hartwell will be leaving WWE and will be a free agent in 90 days. The news comes alongside the news that Tegan Nox is departing and Baron Corbin's contract will not be renewed, according to Sapp. Sapp later wrote that Hartwell's release was confirmed.

In a tweet, Hartwell briefly responded to the report.

Sapp later reported that Hartwell's release was unexpected and she was praised by WWE sources for her recent social media skits.

Indi Hartwell signed with WWE in November 2019 and debuted on NXT television the following January. During her time in NXT, she was memorably part of The Way alongside Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Austin Theory and Sem member Dexter Lumis. Hartwell won the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship with LeRae. She later won the NXT Women's Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver 2023.

Hartwell vacated the NXT Women's Championship in May 2023 after being drafted to WWE RAW. She debuted on WWE RAW this month. There she continued to work with LeRae. The duo moved to SmackDown in the 2024 WWE Draft. Hartwell last wrestled at the WWE SmackDown Double Taping on October 25th and her match will air on November 1st, just hours after news of her departure broke.
