The Irish's recent resurgence in recent weeks has put Notre Dame back in the conversation for a spot in the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff, but it's up to them to keep that momentum going before a bye week.

No, Notre Dame is in the second bye week of the 2024 college football season. Freeman's squad will return to the starting lineup next week when they welcome Florida State (1-7, 1-6 ACC) to Notre Dame Stadium.

The Irish's game next Saturday against the Seminoles will be the first meeting between the two teams since 2021. It's also a game that doesn't put as much pressure on one's resume as it did earlier in the season (should Notre Dame win). as Florida State has fallen significantly from its preseason top-10 ranking.

Notre Dame will then play its final home game of the season a week later on November 9th in South Bend against Virginia. The Irish then travel to Yankees Stadium for the Shamrock Series against No. 21 Army before heading to Los Angeles to play USC in their regular season finale.
