Jaiden Anderson's OT winner pushes No. 4 USC past No. 10 Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament

ST. PAUL, Minn. Jaiden Anderson scored just over a minute into overtime to push the No. 4 USC women's soccer team past No. 10 Ohio State 1-0 and into the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament on Monday in St. Paul, Minnesota.

After a goalless 90 minutes, Anderson had a shot saved Maria Alagoa over the goal line at 1:26 of the first overtime period. The win sets up a semifinal showdown between fifth-seeded Rutgers and the top-seeded Trojans on Thursday. With the win, USC moves to 15-1-2 on the year, while Ohio State falls to 12-5-3.

The Trojans had by far the most chances in regulation, outscoring the Buckeyes 18-3 and putting six shots on goal. USCs Laurence Gladu made the only save she needed to get into overtime, then didn't have a shot in overtime when she scored her 10Th Shutout of the year.

Molly McDougal set up Alagoa for a shot near the top of the penalty area and Email Hayes deflected the ball with a light touch, setting up Anderson to direct it past the Buckeye keeper and inside.

It was freshman Anderson's second goal of the season. The overtime victory extended the Trojans' winning streak to eight games and their undefeated streak to 12.
