Halloween is more than just a spooky holiday for Jamie Lee Curtis — it's also the film that established her legacy as horror film's first “Final Girl.”

Taking to her Instagram, the Oscar-winning actress celebrated her Hollywood journey, which began with John Carpenter's original 1978 film Halloween that was the starting signal for her career.

“HAPPY HALLOWEEN to everyone,” Curtis, 65, wrote, recalling her first night on set.

“I walked down a tree-lined street singing… at the end of that night I was the first FINAL GIRL!” she added, referring to a horror film that describes the last living girl or woman facing the murderer .

Curtis expressed her gratitude for the fans and the film's impact on their lives, particularly with the Halloween sequels and director David Gordon Green's revival series, which ended in 2022 Halloween ends.

The Crazy Friday alum shared that she appreciated “getting to know millions and millions of people whose lives have been impacted by the franchise.”

She continued: “This shared experience in a cinema has bonded us all together, and so on this Halloween evening I thank you for my creative life and my renewed belief in coming together as a group of people who have a common goal and for that we fight.” Our life together brings out the best in us.”

Curtis concluded with a heartfelt message: “Thank you John Carpenter…for choosing me to portray Every Girl, Laurie Strode…”
