Jasmine Crockett criticizes Trump for not telling the truth

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) called out the former president Donald Trump for spreading misinformation about FEMA amid storms devastating parts of the country.

In the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, online misinformation has hampered the Biden administration and FEMA's efforts to provide assistance to the storms' victims.

Trump has been responsible for spreading some misinformation about FEMA, claiming last week that the agency sends most of its money to “illegal migrants.”

During a Saturday interview with the MSNBC host Ali VelshiCrockett said Trump's misinformation was hurting his supporters in regions devastated by the storms because the Republican nominee “doesn't have the ability to tell the truth.”

Which refers to him being a liar. I mean, that's exactly it. The problem is that we have people who absolutely listen to him, and that's the scary part. Even the people who are in need in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee or the state of Florida where they need help are literally harming themselves because he is unable to tell the truth about what is needed, to get help and he believes it will help him in the election campaign. And at the end of the day, you can't say you're a leader if you're all about hurting people. And that's him.
