On Thursday, another problem arose with the New York Jets' current situation surrounding Haason Reddick.

The Pro Bowl pass rusher's agents at Creative Artists Agency have parted ways with him due to a contract denial that dates back to the start of training camp, reports say ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Per NFL Network's Mike GarafoloCAA had been trying to negotiate a contract extension deal with the Jets while Reddick himself got involved, leading to a dispute over “philosophical differences.” That's hardly surprising considering how poorly the last few months have been for anyone hoping to see Reddick play in a Jets jersey.

The Jets traded for Reddick in March hoping he could bolster a defense that ranks seventh in the NFL in stats and fifth in pressure rate. Only TJ Watt, Myles Garrett and Trey Hendrickson had more sacks than Reddick in the previous four seasons with 50.5, reaching double figures in each of those seasons.

Crucially, the Jets completed this trade with the Philadelphia Eagles without a contract extension in place. Reddick was scheduled to enter free agency after this season. Since no deal was reached, Reddick decided not to attend training camp and then requested a trade from a team that had acquired him months earlier. The Jets rejected the request.

With Reddick's refusal now extending into the regular season, he has reportedly forfeited more than $5 million in NFL-mandated fines and lost more than $4 million in checks for lost games. According to Spotrac, he has a base salary of $14.25 million this season.

The situation got so bad that Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers took a swipe at Reddick's agent last month while complaining about an article that said the Jets were in “complete disarray.” As it turned out, Reddick's agents weren't happy either.
