Jimmy Kimmel, known for his satirical views on cinema, society and politics, recently became emotional after the results of the US presidential election were announced. The TV host and producer called it a sad day for women and children, immigrants and democracy. While delivering his monologue on his show Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jimmy explained that it was a bad night for everyone, even those who voted for US President-elect Donald Trump. Jimmy Kimmel cries after US election results

While discussing the results of the 2024 US presidential election, Jimmy said: “Let's be honest, it was a terrible night last night. It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hard-working immigrants who make up this country, for health care, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech. It was a terrible night for poor people, for the middle class, for seniors relying on social security, for our allies in Ukraine, for NATO, democracy and decency. And it was a terrible night for everyone who voted against him. And guess what? It was also a bad evening for everyone who voted for him. You just don’t notice it yet.”

Bollywood reacts to US presidential election results

The US presidential election also received reactions from Bollywood celebrities. After Donald Trump's victory, actress and politician Kangana Ranaut mocked Hollywood stars who supported Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, tweeting: “Do you know that Kamala's ratings dropped drastically when these clowns supported her? Get out people like that (laughing face emoji).” Indian actor and comedian Vir Das took to his Twitter account and wrote, “Well this Emmy monologue is going to be funny 🙂 The energy in the room is going to be..” It will be this year the International Grammys host time.
