HARRISONBURG, Va. — James Madison Football announced Friday that it has signed a one-game contract with Washington State and will host the Cougars at Bridgeforth Stadium next season.

The Dukes host WSU on Nov. 22, 2025, as the Pac-12 Conference member will be the highest-profile program ever to play JMU at Bridgeforth Stadium.

“As we specifically target attractive and influential opponents for James Madison football and our loyal fans, Washington State offers a unique opportunity to test ourselves at home against a Pac-12 opponent in front of college football's biggest fans Roan said. “This will undoubtedly be a memorable game for the promotion of our program and I can’t wait to play at Bridgeforth Stadium next November!”

With Washington State's addition to the 2025 home roster, JMU's originally scheduled game against Utah State on September 13, 2025 was canceled.

This will be JMU's first meeting against Washington State as well as a current or former Pac-12 member.

In addition to Washington State, JMU will also host Tennessee Tech (August 30) in the season opener and travel to Louisville (September 6) and Liberty (September 20) to round out the 2025 non-conference slate.
