Julianne Hough shines in Bottega Veneta rainbow dress for “DWTS”

Julianne Hough continued her hosting duties on ABC's “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday. The professional dancer hosted the show's “Soul Train” night alongside former “DWTS” winner Alfonso Ribiero.

Hough chose a design courtesy of Bottega Veneta. The long-sleeved maxi dress featured a high neckline and a diagonal striped rainbow design with shades of red, white, yellow, blue and black along the dress.

The former “DWTS” professional dancer paired the all-over sequin look with metallic silver strappy heels. Since the dress was the centerpiece, Hough opted for minimal to no jewelry.

Hough's look was curated by stylist Jennifer Mazur, who has previously worked with Olivia Culpo.

Hough and Mazur have worked together for more than two years. WWD previously followed the former “DWTS” dance pro as she prepared for the show's December 2023 finale, where Mazur styled Hough in a sculptural Versace dress with a sheer bodice and flared skirt, along with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels. Lady Gaga wore the same dress to the Oscars in March 2023.

“This still feels very big and grand, but at the same time understated,” Hough told WWD at the time. After her final hosting duties, Hough told WWD about her choice for the after-party. “I just thought, 'Let me do something that's transferrable from day to day,'” she explained. “It's a Proenza (Schouler) dress with some Khaite boots and my YSL bag. So that's sweet. It’s chic.”

Grand and understated still seems to be the aesthetic choice Hough and Mazur are making for their hosting duties in Season 33. The Bottega Veneta dress Hough favored for Monday's episode seemed to match the theme of the “Soul Train” evening, adding sparkle and a silhouette reminiscent of the disco era.
