Kings vs. Jazz preseason game preview and thread open

The Kings are in Utah tonight to take on Lauri Markkanen and the Jazz.

When: October 15, 6:00 p.m. PT
Where: Delta Center, Salt Lake City, UT
TV: Streaming on Kings.com or the NBCS CA app
Radio: Sactown Sports 1140

The Kings have yet to win this preseason and had a very disappointing performance against the Portland Trail Blazers, where they suffered a heavy loss despite relying on their starters most of the time. The Kings have also shot exceptionally poorly from distance so far this preseason, making just 25% of their total three-point attempts. The Jazz are a relatively young rebuilding team led by 7'0 Finn Lauri Markkanen, but we'll also likely see expanded looks for rookies Cody Williams and Kyle Filipowski (the 10th and 32nd picks in the 2024 NBA Draft) as players sophomores Keyonte George and Taylor Hendricks.

The Kings will likely play a similar rotation to their other preseason games. Trey Lyles, Orlando Robinson and Kevin Huerter remain out, although Huerter was recently cleared to play 5-on-5 and should be ready to play in time for the regular season. Jordan McLaughlin made his debut on Sunday and was one of the few Kings players who played fairly well, so I'm excited to see more from him tonight.

The game starts at 6:00 p.m. local time, let's go, kings!
