Lakers News: How many points did Bronny James score against the Bucks?

At the Los Angeles Lakers, great things are expected from every player on the team. Over the years, it's become both a gift and a curse for this franchise, but something that's entirely part of their job.

The team played another preseason game on Thursday, this time against the Milwaukee Bucks. Los Angeles picked up the victory over Milwaukee by a score of 107-102, securing their first preseason win of the year.

Los Angeles looked good for most of the game and got some of their key players some real playing time. Star LeBron James played in 16 minutes and dropped 11 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Co-star Anthony Davis played a little longer at 25 minutes. He scored 11 points, eight rebounds and one assist.

But once again, eyes were on rookie guard Bronny James and how he performed in this game. And for the second game in a row, Bronny didn't score a single point.

He went 0-for-4 from the field, including missing his own 3-point attempt. Bronny also scored a -12 on the plus/minus statistic, a sign that his play had a negative impact on the game despite the team win.

It was a tough battle for the young guard as he failed to record a single stat against Milwaukee. To his credit, he only played six minutes of the game.

However, this is a somewhat concerning sign for the young guard after he started his preseason career with some promise. Bronny shows that he is still a work in progress and that his game probably won't translate to the NBA, at least not right now.

But fortunately for the Lakers, he would always spend most of the upcoming season in the G-League. Los Angeles understands that he is not ready for the big leagues and they will give him time to develop into the player he needs to be.

The Lakers can only have so much patience with the rookie guard, giving him a year or two to figure things out. However, his defensive instincts have given the Lakers hope that he can develop into an impactful player.

If his jump shot starts to fall off, even with a good shot, Bronny could end up giving the Lakers a chance. It'll be a wait-and-see game, but for now he'll take all the reps he can get on the court with the Lakers.
