Latest Alabama football rankings: Where the Crimson Tide ranks in Week 9 of the LBM USA Coaches Poll

For the second time in three weeks, Alabama football lost a game at Tennessee.

The Crimson Tide lost their second game of the 2024 season to rival Tennessee on the third Saturday in October, game 24-17 at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville on Saturday. Alabama's loss to the Volunteers follows a surprising loss to Vanderbilt on Oct. 5 in Nashville.

Alabama returns home Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. CT date with Missouri on ABC. But with two losses in three weeks, the Crimson Tide's place at the top of college football is further away.

Alabama football rankings update

Following Alabama's loss to Tennessee, the Crimson Tide is the No. 15 team in the most recent U.S. LBM Coaches Poll, its lowest mark since 2010. Alabama is one of nine SEC teams in the U.S., along with No. 2 and No. 6 Georgia Poll Texas, No. 7 LSU, No. 8 Tennessee, No. 14 Texas A&M, No. 17 Missouri, No. 18 Ole Miss and No. 25 Vanderbilt.
