Lee Corso will miss ESPN “College GameDay” for Oregon vs. Ohio State

ESPN's “College GameDay” will be without one of its main cast members on Saturday as the show travels to Oregon.

According to ESPN colleague Rece Davis, Lee Corso will not be in Eugene for the exhibition ahead of No. 3 Oregon vs. No. 2 Ohio State. The 89-year-old Corso missed his second straight week of “GameDay” due to health reasons, but is improving, Davis said.

“I spoke to (Corso) earlier and he said he was sorry for missing his best friend, the duck,” Davis told reporters Friday.

Corso's game advice when donning a mascot head has been a defining part of the “GameDay” experience for decades, including several moments when he donned the duck head and picked Oregon. He has already said that Eugene is his favorite place for GameDay.
