Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams, ASAP Rocky

LeBron James will serve as honorary co-chair, while Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky and Lewis Hamilton are scheduled to serve as co-chairs alongside Vogue magazine editor-in-chief Anna Wintour at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Wednesday announced. Vogue magazine and the museum also announced that the Costume Institute's spring 2025 exhibition next year will be titled “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

According to Vogue, the exhibition will draw inspiration from Barnard College professor Monica L. Miller's 2009 book “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity” and will feature “garments, paintings, photographs and more – everything” explores the indelible style of black men in the context of dandyism from the 18th century to the present.

When will the Met Gala 2025 take place?

The Met Gala, which has been led by Wintour since 1995, will return to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5. The dress code, to be announced early next year, will coincide with that of the “Superfine” Costume Institute exhibition, which will be on public display from May 6 to October 26 next year.

Theme and Co-Chair of the 2024 Met Gala

Last November, Vogue and Met revealed the 2024 Met Gala theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” which was also the name of the accompanying exhibition at the Costume Institute. The Met Gala theme is usually different from the dress code, but still related.
