Liz Cheney's speech seriously hurt Donald Trump's feelings

Donald Trump launched a blatant attack on Liz Cheney after the former Republican congresswoman denounced him in a speech at a Kamala Harris campaign rally on Thursday afternoon.

“Liz Cheney lost her congressional seat by the largest margin in congressional history for an incumbent,” he fumed in a Truth Social post following the former Wyoming representative’s comments. “The people of Wyoming are really smart! She is a low IQ War Hawk who, as a member of the J6 Unselect Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs, ILLEGALLY DESTROYED AND DELETED all documents, information and evidence.”

Trump's ire appears to have been provoked by comments made by Cheney at Thursday's rally, where the former lawmaker called on other longtime GOP supporters to follow her lead and support the Harris campaign.

“I was a Republican before Donald Trump started spray tanning,” she joked at the event. “Donald Trump was willing to sacrifice our Capitol, allow police officers to be beaten and brutalized in his name, and violate the law and the Constitution to seize power,” she later added. “I don’t care if you’re a Democrat, Republican or independent. This is depravity and we must never become numb to it.”

In his retaliatory post, Trump also railed against Cheney's father Dick – who has also supported Harris – and accused the former vice president of being “a leader of our ridiculous trip to the Middle East, where trillions of dollars were spent, millions of people were killed.” – and for what? NOTHING!”

Additionally, he mocked father and daughter as “two fools” that “the Republican Party doesn’t want anymore,” a “pathetic couple,” and both “suffering severely from Trump Deangement Syndrome.” Good luck to both of you!!!”

With less than a month to go before the November election, Democrats have stepped up their efforts to target Republican voters across party lines who would otherwise be uncomfortable with the MAGA campaign's rhetoric.

As part of that push, new ads recently aired in battleground states, featuring longtime GOP supporters supporting Harris in his year and recruiting Maria Comella, a former aide to Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, to to lead the charge.
