Local bars are preparing for the NDSU vs. SDSU rivalry game

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The Bison Turf, a local bar in Fargo, is gearing up for a busy day. As the NDSU and SDSU football teams prepare for their rival game, the Turf prepares to serve fans from around the world.

“Similar preparation, we’re just busier than normal. Whether it’s stocking up on booze, baking double or tripling the burgers, we do four gallons at a time at the ranch, we’ll probably go through all of that,” says Nick Enderson, The Bison’s general manager Turf.

Fans of both teams are already flocking to the city; They came not only from Brookings but from all over the country and were full of excitement to cheer on their team.

“It turns out they’re from Jacksonville, Florida. And here just for the game. Our manager Jenna sent him across the street to the bookstore to outfit him with NDSU gear and they stayed all night and had fun,” Enderson says.

Enderson says it's like any other busy day, but he's looking forward to cheering on his team.

“Two things I hope for. NDSU always wins, but the exciting games are more fun because you can feel the energy of the crowd longer. And it's just fun to feel the energy of the audience. So when it's a close game that lasts the whole game, it's just a good atmosphere. And you get a natural high from it,” says Enderson.

The Bison Turf is available to fans throughout the day.

The Bison and Jackrabbits will begin their 116th game tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
