Look of the Day 10/18: Is Gil getting drilled?

Look of the Day 10/18: Is Gil getting drilled?

Talk about a bad beat. The New Orleans Saints couldn't move the ball all night, so of course third QB Jake Haener came into the game and led a meaningless touchdown drive that wiped out our under-37 bet. This is hard to take, but let's get back on our feet with our favorite game for Friday's MLB action.

Look of the Day: Luis Gil over 1.5 earned runs allowed (-120 DraftKings)

The New York Yankees face the Cleveland Guardians in Game 4 of the ALCS, and we're looking for Gil to come out of the gates.

Gil will make his first career postseason start and a raucous Cleveland crowd will be ready to give him a warm postseason welcome. The Guardians finished Game 3 with a strong performance, and we hope they can carry that momentum into this matchup against Gil.

Due to his struggles during the regular season, Gil has not yet participated in the playoffs. The rookie right-hander gave up 11 hits and 10 earned runs in his last 11.0 innings, and those starts came against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Oakland Athletics.

Cleveland has one of the most patient lineups in the MLB, making this a brutal matchup for Gil and his control issues. The Guardians managed six walks in their only game against Gil earlier this season. Playoff pressure and the road environment will only exacerbate Gil's weaknesses.
