Love Is Blind's Ramses rejected Marissa's request to get back together

Six months later Love is blind Stars Marissa George And Ramses Prashad When they broke up, they started communicating again – but a second round of romance wasn't in the cards.

“We saw each other a few times after that (we broke up). “I took the breakup really hard, as you can imagine from the scene where I'm crying and stuff,” Marissa, 32, said Shine in an interview published on Wednesday, October 23rd. “It probably took me six months to get back on track and really move on.”

She added, “I saw him a few times when I was in D.C. and one time we talked on the phone for about eight and a half (or) nine hours one day and I thought we'd come back together afterward.”

Meanwhile, Marissa and Ramses, 35, got engaged Love is blind Season 7, filmed in October 2023, aired on Netflix earlier this month. Marissa and Ramses seemed to have an effortless connection — until some disagreements arose after the pod. Ramses had a strong dislike for military veterans like Marissa and rejected the possibility of having sex with a condom or during her period.

In episode 11, Ramses expressed his hesitation about going to the altar. The next episode began with Ramses canceling their wedding plans. Marissa visibly sobbed when Ramses broke up with her, claiming she had been blindsided.

According to Marissa, Ramses' behavior changed after he met with a close family friend two days before the breakup. The acquaintance was also still close to his ex-wife, who was due to get married that same month. This meeting led Ramses to realize that the divorce had really damaged his former partner.

After Marissa began moving on, she and Ramses began speaking regularly by phone.

“(In) February or March I asked him if he wanted to get back together,” Marissa said. “I'm not really ashamed to say that because I'm someone who asks, 'If you're feeling it, you're feeling it, what's the worst that can happen?' And he says, ‘No.’ After that, we just stopped communicating.”

Marissa further claimed to the outlet that she still doesn't have a clear idea of ​​what led to Ramses abruptly calling off their wedding.

“Throughout the breakup – which made things worse – he couldn't give me a real reason. To this day I don’t know if he actually has a good reason,” Marissa said Shine. “I think he was trying to get to the point of certain things, like I listened to podcasts in the morning and sang stuff like that in the shower. But at the time of the breakup, he just said, “I don't feel at peace anymore, and I feel like our energies are lost and I will hurt you in five years, but I love you and want to be with you.” You, but it's going too fast.'”

She also tried to find a middle ground that wouldn't end in complete heartbreak.

“I'm like, 'Okay, let's just not go too fast.' You stay in DC, I'll stay in Baltimore. But stay together,” Marissa, who is currently studying law, recalled to the magazine. “And he said, 'No.' And that's very difficult to understand: How can you love this person so much, even though they don't even want to be with you? Then I think it’s me because he says it’s my energy.”

She added: “I offered not to get married. We can stay committed or do everything on our own schedule. We don't have to move in right away. That was never the plan anyway. We don't have to be engaged yet. It was a hard no and that really tore me up.”

Ramses, who directly squashed Marissa's attempts at reconciliation, made her “really question everything (she) ever believed in.”
