Mel Gibson says Kamala Harris has “the IQ of a fence post,” reiterating his support for Trump

When asked about the presidential election on Thursday, Mel Gibson gave a piercing assessment of Kamala Harris, saying the vice president has the “IQ of a fence post.”

A photographer for TMZ met Gibson, 68, as he entered Los Angeles International Airport and asked him what he thought about the 2024 election.

“Whoa, that’s a big question,” the “Mad Max” star joked.

“I don't think it will surprise anyone who I'm voting for,” Gibson said as the photographer followed him to LAX on Thursday, the celebrity gossip site reported.

In a video shared by TMZ, Gibson can be seen brusquely and casually reiterating his support for former President Donald Trump.

However, the What Women Want star got pretty animated while talking about the Democratic presidential candidate.

“I know what it will be like if we let them in, and that’s not good,” the grey-bearded actor explained.

“Disastrous track record – appalling track record. No guidelines to speak of. And she has the IQ of a fence post,” Gibson said.

Trump has previously called both Harris and Biden “low IQ” and “mentally impaired.”

The “Get The Gringo” actor hasn’t always been a vocal supporter of the 45th president.

He failed to endorse the Don in either 2016 or 2020, but it is unknown whether he once disagreed with the Republican nominee or was one of Hollywood's many quiet conservative celebrities.

Eagle-eyed mixed martial arts fans saw “The Patriot” actor give a salute to then-former President Trump at a UFC fight in 2021.

Gibson's disparaging comments about Harris come less than a week after fellow actor Andrew Garfield, 41, expressed his support for the controversial actor and director in an interview with People.

Garfield, who starred in the Gibson-directed “Hacksaw Ridge” in 2016, said the lesson he learned from working with Gibson was that “people deserve second, third and fourth chances.” That none of us are infallible is.”

The “Social Network” star, who is Jewish, said he had “deep, important conversations” with Gibson, who made infamous anti-Semitic comments that derailed his career in 2006 when he was arrested for drunken driving.

“He's done a lot of miraculous healing on himself… he's a great filmmaker and I think he deserves to make films. “He deserves to tell stories because he has a very, very big, compassionate heart,” Garfield concluded.
