Michele Obama rally in Norristown, Montco: location, time, tickets

Former first lady Michelle Obama will travel to the Philly suburbs on Saturday to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris, three days before the 2024 election.

Harris will not attend the event, which will be held Saturday evening in Norristown, Montgomery County. Instead, Harris will hold rallies in two other battleground states on Saturday – one in Atlanta and one in Charlotte, North Carolina

Instead, Obama will be accompanied by music superstar Alicia Keys, who campaigned with Harris in 2020 and was among those who protested against former President Donald Trump's migration policies in 2018.

Obama, the wife of former President Barack Obama, has pushed Harris' campaign hard in recent days. Nowhere is the presidential race closer than in Pennsylvania, where public polls show the race nearly tied heading into Election Day on Tuesday. An Inquirer analysis of early voting data shows that women and seniors are voting for Democrats.

At a rally in Michigan last week, Obama urged men to support Harris and warned that their wives, daughters and mothers would become “collateral damage” of the anger they are feeling ahead of the election. And in a campaign speech Tuesday near Atlanta, she urged voters to “stop the spiral of disillusionment and apathy.”

“We have a lot of people who are hungry for likes from their followers but don’t care about the needs of their communities,” Obama said. “We have people who like to vote on reality shows but are unwilling to vote for their actual reality.”

Obama remains one of the country's most popular figures, and much of her appeal stems from her outspoken disdain for politics. But that hasn't stopped her from directly criticizing Trump, denouncing his “erratic behavior” and “obvious mental deterioration” in Michigan last week.

“She was evil,” Trump responded at a rally in Atlanta earlier this week. “That was a big mistake she made.”
