Mizzou WR Theo Wease salutes Texas A&M's taunting ceiling

COLLEGE STATION, Tx. — Missouri Tigers wide receiver Theo Wease Jr. walked into Kyle Field Saturday morning and pulled on a Texas A&M blanket.

Wease, an Allen, Texas, native, found the blanket on his hotel bed when he arrived in town Friday evening. Along with a note referencing Texas A&M defensive lineman William Lee's nickname, “The Blanket.”

Although many online immediately pointed out that Lee himself was the perpetrator, he maintained his innocence on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Some now believe a member of Missouri's coaching staff used the blanket as additional motivation for Wease against Texas A&M's star defender.

Whoever is responsible, Wease took the taunt and wore it as a cape before the game.

This will be Lee's second straight year facing Missouri and Wease and will play with Kansas State against the Tigers in 2023. Through 2024, Lee has been targeted 21 times and allowed 11 receptions for 174 yards.

Wease had a good start to his final season, catching 26 balls for 287 yards in four games. He had a career performance in Week 2 against Buffalo, recording 13 catches for 149 yards.

Wease and Lee will take the field when No. 9 Missouri takes on No. 25 Texas A&M at Kyle Field at 11 a.m.
