MLB playoff results, live updates: Mets vs. Phillies, Dodgers vs. Padres in NLDS Game 3

The two National League Division Series continue on Tuesday as the scene shifts to New York and San Diego for Game 3, with both series ending at 1-1.

The early matchup pits Aaron Nola for the Phillies against Sean Manaea for the Mets. Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos were the stars of Game 2 for Philadelphia, with Harper hitting a massive two-run home run in the sixth inning, followed by a solo shot from Castellanos, who also hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning. Mark Vientos had a big game for the Mets with two home runs in the loss. He has a slash line of .400/.429/1.179 this postseason.

In the second game, Walker Buehler took the mound for the Dodgers against Michael King for the Padres. King was thoroughly dominant in his first start of the 2024 postseason, going seven innings and striking out 12 Atlanta Braves in a Game 1 win of the Wild Card Series. In 15 career postseason starts, Buehler has a 2.94 ERA and the Dodgers are 9-5 in those games. The Padres earned a 10-2 win in Game 2 behind two home runs from Fernando Tatis Jr., and the series could be exciting.
