Dale Earnhardt Sr. is one of the most revered names in NASCAR. Popularly known as “The intimidatorDale Sr. was the most dominant driver of his time. Known for his aggressive driving style, the NASCAR legend claimed 76 victories and seven Cup Series championships in his 676 race starts from 1975 to 2001. February 18, 2001 is considered one of the darkest days in NASCAR, as an accident in the Daytona 500 led to his downfall.

However, it is still one of them and will probably always be considered the greatest of all time. His legacy will be carried on by his son, Dale Earnhardt Jr. And Jr. wanted to continue his father's legacy with the Dale Earnhardt Inc. racing team. However, due to ownership disputes with his stepmother Teresa Earnhardt, Teresa became Earnhardt's least popular owner. That wasn't possible, that led to an uproar among Intimidator's fans, basically all NASCAR fans. And Teresa was the least popular Earnhardt. Recently, another move by Teresa deeply angered the legend's fans.

Teresa has been the target of trolling since her fight with Dale Earnhardt Jr., and it's all thanks to the latter's huge fan base. The two-time Xfinity Series champion began his NASCAR career at DEI in 1999. However, after spending nine years with the team founded by his father, Jr. moved to Hendrick Motorsports. This happened because Junior asked Teresa to give him 51% ownership of the team, which she immediately refused, saying that if Jr. left, the team would leave “Make another Dale Earnhart Jr.” For the remainder of his career, Dale Jr. remained with Hendrick Motorsports and DEI ceased operations shortly after his departure.

Had Dale Earnhardt Jr. not left, the team would probably still be thriving. Of course, he's a fan favorite, and Teresa has always gotten the exact opposite. In another move, Teresa Earnhardt has sparked a backlash. As the Charlotte Observer reported, Teresa Earnhardt recently planned to convert 399 of her rural tracts of east Mooresville into an industrial park, according to her rezoning application for the vast former farmland. The large piece of land is among the many properties Dale Sr. acquired during his time and is considered part of his legacy.

In fact, the area to be converted into an industrial park is mostly forested and probably served as a hunting ground Dale Earnhardt Sr. Senior's hunting successes are as legendary as his NASCAR career. One of his closest friends, Donnie Rives, had recently spoken about how the legend had gifted his eyesight to scout his hunting targets. The land is a reminder of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and fans believe he would not have wanted an industrial area.

Teresa Earnhardt, the sole managing member of Earnhardt Farms LLC, will file a zoning change request with the Mooresville Planning Board on Oct. 22. However, commissioners have not yet confirmed a date for considering the application. The park would be located just off Highway NC 3, popularly known as the Dale Earnhardt Highway because of the number three, and in close proximity to DEI headquarters. Earnhardt's holdings are an essential part of his legacy and this move has deeply upset fans.

Another fan riot against Teresa Earnhardt

Teresa Earnhardt is the third wife of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and after the legend's death, she inherited almost everything Sr. owned, including his racing team and possessions. Her fight with Dale Sr.'s son is just one of the cases in which she is accused of sabotaging the Earnhardt name.

Teresa also filed a lawsuit against Kerry Earnhardt. of the intimidator eldest son. When he was planning on putting a line of homes and furniture on the market, he called “The Earnhardt Collection” Given how many family disputes there are in the Earnhardt family, fans strongly believe that Sr. would not have liked this. A fan wrote: “Dale would be ashamed.”

Additionally, Teresa's management of DEI was controversial, with fans often arguing that she prioritized financial gains over family relationships and Dale Sr.'s legacy. Another fan expressed similar sentiments when he wrote: “Another slap for the kids and Dale.” However, on the trademark issue, Jr. had, on the contrary, praised Teresa's efforts to maintain the legacy and family name. Dale Earnhardt Jr. had recently made a comment about this in which he said: “One thing I can say about Teresa is that when it comes to owning a brand and protecting things like that, protecting our heritage and our family name, I have a lot of confidence in her on those things.”
