Storylines change from week to week for every NFL team, often dramatically.

After three weeks, the 2-1 Jets looked to continue gaining momentum at home against Denver.

After four weeks, the 2-2 Jets were planning on rebounding on the London stage against Minnesota.

After five weeks, the 2-3 Jets had an opportunity to end a two-game losing streak and climb into first place with a primetime win over the Bills at home.

That brings us to the 2-4 Jets, who travel to a traditionally difficult city and venue for them over the years, Pittsburgh and Acrisure Stadium (formerly Heinz Field), to get back on track against the 4-2 Steelers .

And a big part of the Green & White's story this week is the new teammate they have in elite WR Davante Adams, QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Garrett Wilson, RB Breece Hall and the offense against the Steelers' stout defense, but potentially vulnerable pass coverage, complemented even as TJ Watt bounced hard off Pitt's left edge.

“I never thought it would be possible,” Rodgers said of trading Adams, his former teammate in Green Bay where he played for eight years, to the Raiders from one high-profile market, Las Vegas, to another , New York, brought. “Having Tae here and then pairing him with a budding superstar in Garrett is a very special combination.”

The Jets and their fans got a glimpse of how special Adams was, who suffered a hamstring injury early in the season and was eligible to play tonight. One stat says it all: 615 completions, 7,517 yards and 68 touchdowns. That's the number of times Rodgers and Adams have met, all the most numbers of any A-Rod target – an astonishing feat, especially considering the two haven't been on the same team in the past two-plus seasons.
