We can talk about how much Sunday's Week 7 clash between the Eagles and Giants means to the NFC East landscape, although we'd be lying if we didn't admit that all eyes will certainly be on Saquon Barkley.

The former Giants NFC Offensive Rookie of the Year and two-time Pro Bowler will make his highly anticipated return to MetLife Stadium as a competitive Eagle, and the books are in for a show.

The lowest available value of his rushing yardage prop is 78.5 on FanDuel, which is his highest value of the season.

Before we get into the context of the game, let's talk about the numbers: At 27 years old and freshly signed with Philadelphia, Barkley is on track for a career year locally.

With five games under his belt, he is amassing 96.4 yards per game – a rate that beats his previous plateau in 2022 by 14.4.

This Giants' defense stands up to him as it has averaged 5.2 yards per carry, third-most in the league.

One of the reasons Barkley has gotten so much sunlight this season is a better offensive line.

Even without Jason Kelce, this Eagles unit is an improvement over what he left behind with the Giants.

It has opened the door for Barkley, Jalen Hurts and Co. to move toward the sixth-most rushing yards per game.

But that O-line will have to contend with an elite Giants pass rush that has racked up 26 sacks in its five games.

Hurts was able to deliver the rock early and often while also using Barkley for checkdown passing, which speaks to me about the running back's overall performance.

Barkley isn't used in the passing game nearly as much as he was with the Giants – he sees 3.4 targets from Hurts.

But he did enough as he only dropped three balls out of a total of 17 and he scored a point.

Regardless of how the Giants go about defending Barkley on the ground, I particularly like his receiving advantage considering the Giants allow the sixth-most receptions and yards to opposing running backs.

If Aaron Jones and Brian Robinson Jr. can reach the triple-digit mark in Weeks 1 and 2 against the Giants, Barkley will be in a promising position to make fun of his former employer.
