NOLA Funk Fest is holding an auction to benefit Grace at Green Light

NOLA Funk Fest announces its collaboration with Positive Legacy for a charity auction Grace at the green lighta nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the city's homeless community. The auction, which will feature signed memorabilia, instruments, concert tickets and unique experiences, is designed to attract music lovers and those who want to support a good cause.

The auction will take place both online October 10-17 and in person during NOLA Funk Fest, October 18-20 at the New Orleans Jazz Museum. All proceeds go directly to Grace at the Green Light, a nonprofit organization that provides daily meals, essential services and emotional support to people experiencing homelessness. With a focus on promoting dignity and respect, the organization plays an important role in meeting the needs of New Orleans' most vulnerable residents.

“We at NOLA Funk Fest are committed to giving back to the community that continues to support us in our second year,” said Chris Beary, Festival Director of NOLA Funk Fest. “The needs of the homeless are often overlooked, but are no less important. Knowing that so many are living without a home or are on the verge of losing one, we wanted to give back to those who need it most.”

Positive Legacy, a nonprofit organization that integrates music and services, will manage the auction and ensure that net proceeds go directly to Grace at the Green Light. The collaboration embodies Positive Legacy's mission to use music to drive positive change for people and the planet.

“Positive Legacy’s mission is to use the power of music to give back to people and the planet. We are honored to be a part of this year’s NOLA Funk Fest to support our amazing local partner Grace at the Green Light and continue to leave a positive legacy here in New Orleans,” said Carrie Reppert, Executive Director of Positive Legacy.

Sarah Parks, Executive Director of Grace at the Green Light, added, “We are so grateful for the support of NOLA Funk Fest. The generosity of NOLA Funk Fest and Positive Legacy has truly brought a sense of joy and community to the homeless people we serve. Ensuring our guests can not only meet their basic needs, but also participate in community events such as the NOLA Funk Fest, is a significant contribution to improving the quality of life of our homeless population – and making them feel like they are valued members of our community.” .
