The votes will decide a state constitutional amendment that would require ballot initiatives to be approved in both the primary and general elections.

On Tuesday, 468 seats in the US Congress (33 seats in the Senate and all 435 seats in the House of Representatives) are up for election.

In North Dakota, where there are three electoral votes, polls close at 7 p.m. local time.
