NoVA Veterans Parade to Immediate Road Closure in Manassas

MANASSAS, VA – A parade honoring veterans will take place in Manassas on Saturday, prompting street closures downtown.

The Northern Virginia Veterans Parade, hosted by VetPar Inc., will be held for its 16th year on Saturday, November 2nd at 11 a.m. Parade participants include elected officials, the Manassas City Police Color Guard, pipe bands and marching bands, several American Legion posts, Greater Manassas Volunteer Rescue Squad, a chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and many more.

The parade route begins on Prescott Avenue at Quarry Road, continues to Center Street and ends at the testing stand at West and Center Streets.

A block of West Street between the train tracks and Center Street will be closed from 3 a.m. to 2 p.m. Numerous blocks of Center Street and blocks of West Street, Battle Street, Main Street and East Street will be closed from 3 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parking Due to the parade route, the Church Street Lot, Harris Pavilion Lot, Water Tower Lot and Candy Factory will not be open. Only disabled parking spaces are provided in the Train Depot and City Hall parking lots. The 9102 Prince William Street Garage, Prince William Lot and Main Street lot remain open.
