Oasis is adding four new dates to the North American leg of the 2025 reunion tour

Oasis have added four new dates to the North American leg of their highly anticipated 2025 reunion tour.

The Manchester band, made up of Noel and Liam Gallagher, initially announced dates in the US, Canada and Mexico for September 30, weeks after selling out venues in the UK and Ireland.

On Wednesday (October 2), they added new dates in Toronto, Canada; Los Angeles, California; East Rutherford, New Jersey and Mexico City, Mexico.

The band will now play two nights in each of these cities' venues, with Cage The Elephant as the special guest for all North American dates.

The concerts take place 16 years after Oasis' last appearance on the continent.

Over the weekend, the British rock band unveiled snaps of giant billboards in various locations around the world with the slogan: “Be careful what you wish for.”

General tickets for all North American dates go on sale Friday, October 4th at 12pm local time and are available at Ticketmaster.

News of the North American leg of the reunion tour came after the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) launched an investigation into Ticketmaster over its handling of ticket sales in the UK and Ireland.

Fans were left devastated after standing in online queues for hours only to find they were charged up to four times as much due to Ticketmaster's so-called “dynamic pricing” system, which drives up fees when demand is particularly high much as the originally stated prices were calculated.

Earlier this month, the CMA said it would investigate how Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing was used and consider whether the sale may have breached consumer protection laws.

This week, Oasis ruled out using the controversial pricing system for its North American tour dates.

A statement from Oasis management said: “Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model will not be applied to upcoming sales of tickets for Oasis concerts in North America.

“It is widely accepted that dynamic pricing remains a useful tool to combat ticket advertising and keep prices below market and therefore more affordable for a significant proportion of fans.”

“But when unprecedented ticket demand (where the entire tour could be sold many times over by the time tickets go on sale) is combined with technology that cannot meet that demand, it loses effectiveness and can result in an unacceptable experience for fans lead.” .

“We have made this decision for the North American tour to hopefully avoid a repeat of the issues fans in the UK and Ireland have recently experienced.”

Oasis were formed in Manchester in 1991 and became one of the most successful bands of their time. They split in 2009 after a brawl backstage at France's Rock en Seine festival, sparking years of bitter war of words between the brothers.

Just days after announcing their return, the band shot their debut to the top of the British album charts. Definitely maybeas they celebrated their 30th anniversary.
