Ohio State leads Week 10 college football trolls

As the final month of the college football regular season began, teams' social media accounts kept Saturday hot with post-victory trolls.

The Ohio State Buckeyes secured a key road win in the top five on Saturday, defeating the Penn State Nittany Lions 20-13 in State College, ending their hosts' undefeated season. It was the Buckeyes' eighth straight win over Penn State and their 12th win in the last 13 editions of the game.

Ohio State took to social media to tease the Nittany Lions about the final result, posting a graphic in which Brutus Buckeye painted over the “0” in Penn State's previous 7-0 record with “White Out,” which doubled as a nod to the legendary Beaver serves stadium tradition.

Here's a look at some of the best postgame jabs from Week 10 of the college football season.

The Purdue Boilermakers' nightmare season continued Saturday against the Northwestern Wildcats, as Northwestern handed its Big Ten opponent its seventh straight loss and Purdue's second overtime loss of the season.

After the walk-off win, Northwestern criticized Purdue's platoon-oriented branding.

An all-time day from Ole Miss Rebels wide receiver Jordan Watkins helped Ole Miss to a dominant offensive game against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The senior recorded 8 catches, 254 yards and 5 touchdowns as the Rebels totaled 63 points in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Ole Miss also opted for a mascot-focused troll, making a subtle nod to Arkansas' pig mascot with a bacon emoji. The Rebels also posted a tweet asking if anyone would like to have a barbecue after the stunning victory.

The Syracuse Orange rallied from an early 21-3 deficit, eventually forcing overtime and later defeating the Virginia Tech Hokies. Syracuse running back LeQuint Allen proved to be the difference-maker that day, rushing for 121 yards with three touchdowns – including the game-winning touchdown in overtime.

The win led to another “cooked mascot push” as the Orange released a graphic showing a Syracuse player standing over a roasted turkey (or Hokie) and wielding a carving knife.

Jackson State Tigers quarterback Jacobian Morgan celebrated his homecoming with a dominant win over the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions. The 6-foot-4 junior threw for 187 pass yards, went 14 of 22 with three touchdowns and led the Tigers to a 41-3 home win over the Golden Lions.

Following the “Belt to Ass” TikTok trend popular with winning sports teams wasn't enough for the historically black university after it piled up the 38-point rout. Instead, the Tigers traded their belt for an extension cord.
