Olivia Munn is tired of feeling “insecure” about her double mastectomy scars.

The 44-year-old “Newsroom” star modeled Skims bras in a new campaign launched by Kim Kardashian's shapewear company on Wednesday. One of the photos shows Munn wearing the Skims nipple bra, while in another image shared to the company's Instagram Story, the actress shows off her mastectomy scars in a side view.

“When I look at the scars or how my breasts look different or how clothes fit me differently, I just feel a lot of gratitude,” Munn said in a Skims clip posted to Instagram. “The way my body looks is just a reflection of how hard I fought.”

Skims said that as part of this campaign, launched during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 10% of the retail price of each bra sold October 23-31 will be donated to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer organization.

Munn first revealed in March that she had battled breast cancer and had a double mastectomy. She said she received her diagnosis just two months after a normal mammogram because her gynecologist decided to calculate her breast cancer risk assessment score. “I’m lucky,” she said at the time. “We recognized it so early on that I had options. I wish the same for every woman who might have to deal with this one day.”

In an interview on the “Today” show, Munn revealed that showing off her scars in the Skims campaign was a spontaneous idea that came to her during the photo shoot.

“We were in the middle of the shoot and were changing outfits to see more of my scars. So the makeup artist touched up my scars, and then we got to the double mastectomy scars, which were really hard to cover up,” she said. “And then I looked in the mirror and just thought, 'I'm tired of worrying about my scars.'”

The “X-Men: Apocalypse” star continued: “It was scary, but I feel like this is something I've been hiding for a long time now and it just feels like I'm a little bit could breathe more.”

During a Wednesday appearance on the Susan G. Komen podcast “Real Pink,” Munn reflected on “how shocking it was to me” when she first saw the scars from her mastectomy. But she said she hoped seeing the scars featured in a campaign for a beauty-related company would help other breast cancer survivors.

“I really hope that other women see them (on) billboards, online and in magazines and feel really beautiful knowing that they have the same scars as me and that I embrace them,” she said.

After Kardashian's Skims launched a bra with built-in nipples, Philecia La'Bounty, a breast cancer survivor, told USA TODAY, “No matter why Kim made this garment or what inspired it, there's a huge community about it.” “I'm grieving the loss of her breasts and is thrilled to have this easy, affordable and painless way to get her nipples back.”

Munn revealed in an interview with Vogue in May that she also had a hysterectomy while battling breast cancer. The actress and comedian John Mulaney married in July and in September they announced that they had welcomed their second child together. The little girl was born through a surrogate mother.
