Olivia Rodrigo falls during a concert in Australia and recovers quickly

Olivia Rodrigo survived a sudden fall through an onstage trapdoor uninjured during her concert in Melbourne, Australia yesterday, October 13th.

At the start of the show, Rodrigo wowed the audience at Rod Laver Arena when she unexpectedly burst straight into the open part of the stage. Despite what seemed like a bad fall – and a huge gasp from the crowd – Rodrigo immediately popped back up and said, “Oh my God, that was fun!” I'm OK!”

Although Rodrigo was understandably still a bit nervous, he rose to the occasion like the ultimate artist, climbing back onto the stage and quipping: “Sometimes there's just a hole on the stage.” That's okay! Ok, where was I?”

Then Rodrigo picked up right where she left off and let out a loud “How are we doing tonight, Melbourne?!”

Rodrigo kicked her Australian leg away offal She was on a world tour last week and has a few more shows planned for next week. Before Australia, Rodrigo played one of their biggest (and most important) shows ever at the Philippine Arena in Manila. Rodrigo is half Filipino and wrote about the show on Instagram: “I've been dreaming about this show for a while. My first time in the Philippines and also my biggest venue ever!”

Rodrigo is also preparing for her release offal Tour film, set to hit Netflix on October 29th: “For those of you who haven't had a chance to rock out in person, now you can grab the best seats in the house!” Rodrigo said in a statement. “And to the fans who cheered, screamed and danced with me: I’m so glad we got to do it again!”
