“Outer Banks” is eyeing spinoffs as the final season of the Netflix series rolls out

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix's hit action-adventure youth series Outer Banks is scheduled to end with the upcoming fifth season. But this may not be the end of the Pogues.

“We're excited about season five and looking forward to more stories in this universe in the future,” said series co-creators/executive producers Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke during an interview with The Season Release Deadline 4 Part 2 is fixed.

They didn't want to elaborate, but hinted at ideas for possible spin-off series and others OBX Offshoots of the universe are being explored. According to sources, there are no projects currently in the works, but it makes sense that Netflix is ​​looking to renew one of its top series – something it has already done with shows like Stranger Things And Bridgerton and explore with Virgin River.

Netflix has announced bigger plans for Outer Banks — Expanding the OBX brand into other areas: video games, with the recently released mobile game Stories: Outer Banks; and live events, with the annual Pougelandia fan music festival. There are also licensing agreements for OBX items from brands such as PacSun, Lottie London and Byrd.

A social media phenomenon Outer Banks has spent a total of 28 weeks in the global top 10 English TV channels list so far, and several more are expected this year following the release of Season 4 Part 2.

The series centers on a group of working-class teenagers – Pogues – from a coastal community in North Carolina. It tells about their life, their friendship and their adventures in treasure hunting.
