Pat McAfee gives Oregon student $100,000 to make FG with Nick Saban on hold

Pat McAfee gives Oregon student 0,000 to make FG with Nick Saban on hold

For the second year in a row, Pat McAfee gave a college student $100,000 for a field goal on ESPN College GameDay.

This time, however, there was a small asterisk after the first kick from 35 yards was missed due to what the Oregon student said was a “poor grip” by Nick Saban!

STUDENT FROM OREGON HAS CHALLENGE TO MATCH FIELD GOAL

McAfee asked Saban if he should allow the student to try again after the first kick – which cost $80,000 – sailed wide left.

It turns out that the student may have been pushing McAfee and Saban because he absolutely DELIVERED the next time after McAfee raised the prize to $100,000!

Normally Kirk Herbstreit is the owner, but because Herbstreit was literally driving around town in a Bentley for GameDay TV hits, the 72-year-old former Alabama GOAT head coach was asked to get on his knees and hold the kick.

“Kyle Kramer, you are a student here at the University of Oregon. What is your major?” McAfee asked.

“My major is general social sciences,” and when McAfee asked what that meant, strangely enough, the student didn’t really have an answer for him. Kyle added that he played a few sports growing up and then talked nonsense about kickers (which McAfee was) by showing a sign that said, “Hey Pat, kicking is as easy as picking the Ducks, to win.”

Turns out the trash talk worked as he is now $100,000 richer.

MCAFEE pays 100% of the prize money itself

Afterwards, the rest of the GameDay crew said that if things continued like this and McAfee handed out so much money, McAfee might go bankrupt.

Unlike other advertising competitions, McAfee donates 100% of the money out of its own pocket.

Something tells me he'll still have some money left from his reported five-year, $85 million deal with ESPN that he signed earlier this year.

Regardless, McAfee continues to serve its fans well. Well done, Patty!
