First quarter

The Patriots won the coin toss and were eliminated, leaving Tyler Huntley and the Dolphins on the field first. An 18-yard completion to Tyreek Hill got things moving for Miami, which eventually went over midfield with a completion to Jonnu Smith after a split sack between Daniel Ekuale and Anfernee Jennings. Miami then settled for a 54-yard field goal from Jason Sanders. (Patriots 0:3 Dolphins)

New England's first offensive attack has been similar in recent weeks, with Jacoby Brissett being sacked on consecutive plays to force a punt.

New England's defense forced a three-and-out, but a too-many-man penalty on the punt gave Miami another string of losses. They were unable to capitalize as Christian Gonzalez jumped the second down slant for an interception.

New England's Kendrick Bourne took over the Miami 43-yard line after the interception and participated in a first-down screen. Then, after converting a third down, Rhamondre Stevenson ran a 33-yard touchdown down the right side. (Patriots 7: 3 Dolphins)
