Play balls | Four highlights from Washington's win over Arizona

The Commanders capped off a busy September with a 42-14 win over the Arizona Cardinals to go 3-1 on the season. Quarterback Jayden Daniels, wide receiver Terry McLaurin, running back Jeremy McNichols and Washington's defense showed great strength and gave the Burgundy & Gold their third straight win.

The best. The most. The highest. The superlatives that can be used to describe the rookie quarterback in this first quarter of the season continue to flow. After his record-breaking primetime performance against the Bengals, Daniels picked up right where he left off against the Cardinals.

Once again, Daniels was precise with the ball, recording 233 passing yards in a 26-for-30 performance on the night. What's particularly notable about the signal caller is his ability to not only put the ball in the hands of a receiver, but also his precision in placement, as demonstrated in the first quarter with passes to Olamide Zaccheaus and Terry McLaurin. Daniels has a great sense of where to place the ball based on a player's body movement.

His running ability continues to be a strength for Daniels. His speed allowed him to avoid tackles and extend plays throughout the game, while his speed allowed him to rack up good yards, including a nine-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter and a first down in the fourth quarter. Even his glide looks elite.

Daniels threw an interception for the first time in his young professional career. The sky has not fallen. In fact, the quarterback couldn't have reacted better. The pick came about nine minutes into the second quarter on a throw intended for McLaurin with the Commanders leading by seven. However, Daniels stayed on his game and led the Burgundy & Gold to another 28 points. A Washington offense hasn't scored 42 points against an opponent in nearly eight years.

Another week, another outstanding performance from the rookie. With his demeanor and talent, Daniels is the linchpin of an offense that now ranks in the top five in over 10 categories.
