Preview: Wizards vs. Knicks on Wednesday

Preview: Wizards vs. Knicks on Wednesday

This will be the second preseason game for the Washington Wizards, who play in New York City and are hoping for a feel-good win against the Knicks. Well, there is always hope.

When: Wednesday, October 9, 7:30 p.m. ET

Where: Madison Square Garden, New York City, NY

How to watch: MSG network

Wizard: Malcolm Brogdon (Out, Thumb), Saddiq Bey (Out)

Curtsy: Mitchell Robinson (Out), Kevin McCullar Jr (Day-to-Day)

The Wizards continue their relaxed tour – The Wizards began the preseason with every opportunity in the world to show the world that all the talk about their lack of culture and motivation is just a media narrative. Well, so much for that. Their first quarter on Sunday in Montreal showed exactly what to expect from them this season, to the tune of a humiliating Big score in the first quarter 16-34. The Raptors no longer felt the need for their starters after those first few minutes and probably gained new fans in Montreal.

The Wizards, on the other hand, like #SoWizards, continued to “compete” for the remainder of the game and prevented the game from getting any worse in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, leaving open the possibility of a false 4th quarter “comeback” against Toronto Reserves of Reserves… which of course didn't happen. Nothing new for Wizards fans.

They play the Knicks tomorrow, and it would be surprising if the script was different. A few minutes of Knicks starters to open the game, and then the Knicks starters cheer on their end-of-rotation teammates and G-League two-way players while improving their own stats.

But maybe I'm wrong. And I won't be mad if I were.
