Raiders OL “in transition” Week 9 vs. Bengals “everything is on the table”

Raiders OL “in transition” Week 9 vs. Bengals “everything is on the table”

We could be looking at another new starting lineup for the Raiders' offensive line on Sunday when they travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals.

Injuries at various positions have meant the Raiders have had to rotate guys all season, and this week brings perhaps the most uncertainty they've ever faced.

The question marks are mainly in the middle and on the right side. Andre James was injured last Sunday and missed practice on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Dylan Parham returned to training after missing the past two weeks.

The team shuffled the interior line personnel to compensate for the loss of Parham and James. First Jordan Meredith filled in at right guard for Parham and then Jackson Powers-Johnson moved from left guard to center to cover for James. That meant Cody Whitehair had to fill in on the left side.

At the moment it is still uncertain who will start at which starting point this week.

“It’s just so changing right now,” Raiders OC Luke Getsy said of the interior offensive line. “To be honest, everything is on the table. That's the cool thing about it: When you have smart people in Dylan and Cody and Jordan and Jackson, at the end of the week you can figure out what's the best fit and what makes the most sense to get started. But honestly, everything is on the table at the moment.”

That means you have five different players who could start at the three inside spots and four different possible alignments. Fun, fun, fun.
