Rapper and social media star Lucas Coly has died at the age of 27

Lucas Coly, a rapper and social media star, has died. He was 27.

The entertainer's agency, I Discover Stars, confirmed his death on social media on Thursday Instagram post It read: “Rest in peace @iamlucascoly I love you brother. My heart is torn in half. Wait for me up there.”

Coly's cause of death is currently unknown. On Wednesday, Coly wrote a message on Instagram that read, “I love you all.”

The rapper was known for the songs “I Just Wanna,” “Break Ya Back” and “Numb,” which received millions of views on YouTube.

Coly was born in France in 1996 and later moved to the United States with his family when he was 8, Forbes reported, citing NBC News.

He began making music in the early 2010s and some of his songs have received millions of views on YouTube.
