Ravens All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton left the game with a scary non-contact injury

Baltimore Ravens All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton is out of the game with what appears to be a non-contact leg injury. While attempting to make a tackle in the second quarter, Hamilton's leg twisted in the turf and he immediately fell to the ground.

Hamilton was then shown hobbling off the field under his own power and heading straight into the blue medical tent.

Hamilton appeared to be in a lot of pain before leaving the field. After remaining on the field for a few moments, he left the field to be examined by medical staff.

The good news is that the second quarter was almost over, so Hamilton could potentially get more time to rest at halftime and potentially get back into the game. However, the way his ankle twisted didn't look like anything minimal.

The best case scenario is that Hamilton has just suffered a small turnaround and can get his time back. In a worst-case scenario, this injury would knock him out of the game and sideline him for additional playing time.

The Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals have a very important divisional duel on Thursday Night Football. Baltimore is trying to secure its seventh win of the season and first place in the AFC North.

The Bengals look to further their season with a fifth win of the season. After a rocky 1-5 start to the season, the team is now 3-1 in their last four games.

Most of the AFC North is competitive and the Bengals need to win more games to stay relevant in their division and the AFC as a whole.

The Ravens' loss of Hamilton in this game will be hard to swallow anyway, but losing him for any longer will have a detrimental effect on Baltimore's defense.

An additional report from the game's sideline reporter suggested that it is now questionable whether Hamilton will return to the game and his ankle is being examined.

Hamilton has already been on fire in 2024, recording 67 total tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and five passes defensed. The All-Pro safety is one of the best safeties in the game, and his exclusion will definitely make it more difficult for Baltimore to stop Joe Burrow's passing attack.

More details about Hamilton's injury will be announced, so stay tuned Newsweek Sports to stay up to date on this and all Ravens news.
