Red Sox legend David Ortiz roasts the Yankees after Game 3 loss

The Los Angeles Dodgers are one win away from winning the 2024 World Series, and a Boston Red Sox legend couldn't pass up the chance to take on the New York Yankees.

Los Angeles took a 3-0 series lead with a 4-2 win Monday night in Game 3 at Yankee Stadium. A return to the Bronx didn't wake up New York's bats.

Former Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo helped the Yankees get on the scoreboard, but the reaction to the late home run angered David Ortiz.

“I'll tell you what, you get the point when you talk about body language,” Ortiz said on FOX's postgame show. “Even when Fat Joe came out, the fans' body language was like, 'Damn, what's going on?' Are we in a funeral yet? I'll tell you what, man. Your body language has to be there until the end. Even when they hit the home run, they didn't even celebrate. You have to come back with the body language.”

Ortiz knows a thing or two about coming back from a 3-0 deficit, and he expected the Yankees to give it their all to try to make history in the World Series.

The Dodgers' first attempt to win it all comes Tuesday in New York, where they will try to complete the sweep.
