Report: Jaguars trade LT Cam Robinson to Vikings for draft picks

Report: Jaguars trade LT Cam Robinson to Vikings for draft picks

Another bites the dust.

Two weeks after transferring Roy Robertson-Harris to the Seattle Seahawks, the Jacksonville Jaguars parted with another costly investment: Cam Robinson. The eighth-year left tackle will go to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a conditional Day 3 2026 draft pick.

Robinson has $9.6 million left on his contract (part of which will be paid by the Jaguars) and will be a free agent in 2025. This makes sense as a short-term change for the 5-2 Vikings, who recently lost Christian Darrisaw this season.

In Jacksonville, 2021 second-round pick Walker Little will have his chance to secure the long-term job. Robinson was one of the team's longest-tenured players. Since he's out of town, Little (who will also be a free agent in 2025) has nine games left this season to secure as big a second contract as possible.

The 2024 NFL trade deadline is November 5th at 4:00 p.m. ET. Perhaps we'll see the team make further moves – Travis Etienne, Andre Cisco and Devin Lloyd are names with rumored interest – although that's doubtful in this writer's opinion.

What do you think of the Cam Robinson transfer, dear Jaguars fans?
