“RHOBH” alum Teddi Mellencamp is filing for divorce from husband Edwin Arroyave after 13 years of marriage

Teddi Mellencamp has filed for divorce from her husband Edwin Arroyave after 13 years of marriage. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum announced the news in an Instagram post on Saturday.

“After much thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. My priority is my children and ensuring that their privacy and well-being are carefully considered in this new chapter,” Mellencamp’s statement began.

“I did not want to make a public statement, but in an effort to protect my family from inappropriate speculation and rumors, being open, honest and vulnerable was the best way for me.”

It remains unclear why the Bravolebrity filed for divorce.

Representatives for Mellencamp did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment.

Mellencamp and Arroyave tied the knot in 2011, years after they first met on a night out at a Hollywood nightclub. They welcomed three children together: son Cruz and daughters Slate and Dove. They also share a daughter, Isabella, Arroyave's child from a previous marriage.

“I thought after that night that it was just one of those things… a story you tell your girlfriends. Maybe I'll spend time with him again,” Mellencamp told Yahoo Lifestyle in 2019 of her first meeting with Arroyave.

After seeing each other occasionally for a while, things got serious when the CEO of Skyline Security introduced her to his daughter.

“It took us a while,” Mellencamp said. “We were easygoing together for a long time. When I met Edwin’s daughter, our relationship felt much more real.”

The estranged couple celebrated their tenth anniversary in December 2018. Mellencamp celebrated the special occasion with a heartfelt Instagram post showcasing their evolution as a couple over the decade of their lives together.

“10 years ago today I met this boy @tedwinator. After a crazy night out after a nightclub meeting, I assumed we would never see each other again. This is who we were then and over the last 10 years… We have become the very best of friends, traveled the world, built huge companies, created a beautiful family and a life that I am beyond proud of,” she wrote at the time.

“We also learned what it was like to fight for each other. Life isn't perfect. Marriage isn't perfect, but knowing that you've found the person you're willing to fight for for the rest of your life when difficult things happen fills my heart. Thank you for being my person @tedwinator, I love you. We did it, baby. 10 more years and a lifetime.”
