Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Chelsea was arrested for child neglect and drug possession

Rosie O'Donnell's eldest daughter, Chelsea Belle O'Donnell, was arrested for child neglect and drug possession.

“Unfortunately, this is nothing new for our family – Chelsea has struggled with drug addiction for a decade,” Rosie's rep told Fox News Digital.

When asked what Rosie's current relationship with her daughter Chelsea is like, they didn't mention it in their answer, but did send their congratulations for this difficult time.

“We are all confident that she will find a way out of this deadly disease,” the O'Donnell family said in a statement.

According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Chelsea, 27, was charged on Oct. 14 with multiple crimes, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping and resisting or obstructing an officer .

Documents filed with the Wisconsin Supreme Court also listed that Chelsea was charged on Sept. 17 with maintaining a drug trafficking operation, child neglect, possession of drugs including THC and illegally obtained prescriptions, disorderly conduct and domestic violence.

Chelsea Belle O'Donnell, the eldest daughter of comedian Rosie O'Donnell, has been arrested on child neglect and drug possession charges.

Chelsea is scheduled to appear in court on November 7th.

The mother of four welcomed a son, Atlas, in October 2023, daughter Avery Lynn in February 2022, Riley in January 2021, and Skylar Rose in December 2018.

Her arrest, first reported by In Touch Weekly, came after she was previously estranged from her mother.

Comedian Rosie O'Donnell and her eldest daughter had an on-again, off-again relationship throughout Chelsea's teenage years.

“I think with my relationship with my daughter Chelsea (the relationship being tested has strengthened her) because we've been through some really difficult times in the public eye,” Rosie said, according to the report People.

“She is better now and we are both communicating. When someone does something unforgivable to you and you can forgive them and they can forgive you, then there is a kind of grace coming to both of you.”

Actress and comedian Rosie O'Donnell has given birth to four more children since 1995 – Parker, Blake, Vivienne and Dakota.

Although it seems like they have reconciled, Rosie and Chelsea have had a turbulent history together.

In 2017, Rosie claimed her then-estranged adopted daughter Chelsea capitalized on her ex-wife Michelle Rounds' suicide. Chelsea is Rosie's adopted daughter and her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter.

That same year, Chelsea was interviewed by Inside Edition alongside her then-husband Nick Alliegro.

“Growing up, I never really got along with her, and then when she kicked me out, I was just done,” she said. Chelsea added that she hoped to make peace with her then-mother “one day.”

In 2015, Rosie announced that Chelsea had disappeared from her New York home.

She was found a week later and subsequently moved to Wisconsin to live with her birth mother, Deanna Micoley.
